DOULA AND CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR

The most incredible event in the life of a woman and a man is when this couple become a family. It’s an exciting time filled with emotion and sometimes fear.

As a doula it is my privilege and honour to work with families in waiting to educate, support and nurture their journey.

I have spent the best part of my last 20 years working very closely with expectant mothers and their families in obstetrical practices in the community. I began my official journey as a doula in 2007 and received my training and certification with DONA International. I have supported births in Hamilton, Burlington, Grimsby, St. Catharines and Brantford. I also have experience at St. Joseph's Hospital, Joseph Brant Memorial, West Lincoln Memorial, McMaster University Medical Centre and Welland General Hospital.

Doula services I provide include:

labour and childbirth support, In home or hospital
childbirth preparation classes (in your home)
prenatal classes - private or small class 3 to 6 families only
newborn photography and keepsake DVD
postpartum support

I am DONA International, trained and certified as a Doula.
